Video: The Manhattan Bridge Shows Some Moves.

I've seen this video twice over the weekend and it still creeps me out a little. You can see the movement on the bridge each time the subway passes through. These types of bridges are supposed to be flexible, but to see it in action, it just a little freaky. I enjoy road trips to New York- about twice a year- Believe me when I tell you: next time I'm crossing this bridge, I'll be thinking about … [Read more...]

Old Montreal Building: Sold or Not?

oldMtl-sold

Remember this building? I just got word from one of the merchants in this area that this building had finally sold. There seems to be a difference of prices between my sources, some say it went from 1.3M to a final 1.2 Million. Which isn't bad at all since they were first asking 1.3 Million, it means it sold for 100k less than asking price. Santa came early this year; gave me … [Read more...]

GMREB Video: Montréal Sales Surpass Record-Breaking 2007 Levels

Chief Executive Officer of the GMREB, Michel Beauséjour introduces November 2009 sales statistics versus Nov. 2008 and 2007. As he explains, they have compared last months sales with two years( 2007 and 2008), instead of just one because of the recession last year there was a drop of sales by 31% (remember the awful sales report from November last year?). Obviously, last year we were on the red, … [Read more...]

Checking up on Swatow: Chinatown’s Newest Development

Swatow- All finished up

Photo: Deya Bautista We were due to give you an update on the latest (and best looking) chinatown construction. So, here you have it: The all new and completely finished Swatow Plaza. Looking sharp, looking proud. It even looks sexy, if that can be possible for a building. There is only one tenant moved in, and so far it looks like the rest of the building is pretty much empty. Not sure what … [Read more...]
